Majority of Minnesotans Say Legislature Should Not Preempt Local Wage and Sick Leave Ordinances

According to a recent poll, the majority of Minnesotans are against the State Legislature preventing Minnesota cities from passing local work rule ordinances, like local minimum wage laws and employee sick leave mandates.  This majority was seen across all political parties, as well.

Yet legislation was passed by both the Minnesota House and Senate that would preempt these local laws, despite only 26% of Minnesotans saying they should.
